Realme GT 8 Pro now has a global launch date. The company just confirmed the news in the neighboring market. This newcomer will debut outside China for the first time on November 20. After the first rollout, we’ll probably start seeing this handset in more regions. Here’s everything you need to know.

The GT 8 Pro is their flagship model, and the first ever phone in the world that can switch its camera design. They teamed up with the Ricoh camera company, not only to tune and optimize the lenses, but also to build that interchangeable camera Island.

Realme GT 8 Pro is their first build with a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 camera under a periscope telephoto lens. Clearly, the company thinks of this phone as more than just a gaming device. It can do 3X optical zoom with OIS. The Main shooter is 50MP, right beside a 50MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera on the GT 8 Pro is 32MP.

This new Realme GT mobile is built around an LTPO 6.79” AMOLED. It scores a 144Hz refresh rate and 2k resolution. They even advertise a 7000-nit brightness with this phone, but that’s just the local peak value. These levels are only activated dynamically to make the HDR content pop. It will stay below 2000 nits HBM for most of the time.

The phone has a healthy upgrade over the GT 7 Pro’s 6500mAh cell. The Chinese GT 8 Pro brought it up to 7000mAh. We hear the global market won’t get the shaft this time, and Realme sticks to the original 7000mAh battery for the international GT 8 Pro variant.

There’s also 50W wireless and 120W charging here. This newcomer has the best available Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which can boost the clock speeds to ~4.6GHz. This is the fastest silicon out there, arguably even better than Apple’s A19 Pro.

12GB RAM is provided in the basic model, but the phone goes as high as 16GB with 1TB storage. GSMArena already tested this phone, and their AnTuTu benchmark showed ~3.87 million points with the GT 8 Pro. The global launch is set for the 20th of this month. We’ll let you know if there are any more developments in the meantime. Keep watching the news.
