Realme GT 8 Pro Leak Reveals Premium Upgrades, Hints at Price Hike

Realme usually positions its GT devices as flagship killers with the best hardware suited for gaming and price tags in the upper mid-range category. Well, that might change next year with the Realme GT 8 Pro. It seems that the brand wants to reposition this handset to a more premium standing, and that might come with a possible price hike.

If we compare it to the GT 7 Pro, the new GT 8 Pro model is planning some serious hardware upgrades with the screen quality, chipset, and camera boost. Digital Chat Station commented on the phone’s pricing situation in his latest Weibo post.

Realme GT 8 Pro could be heading for a higher price tag to match its elevated status if the leaker is to be believed. It’s too early to presume anything, but the leaker has a great track record with prediction and might be right about the price change for the GT 8 Pro.

This news is a heads-up for Realme fans, folks who love the current status of GT phones, or those who want something more out of these gaming devices. According to DCS’s report, the Realme’s latest flagship model has a better screen more processing power, obviously, and some camera improvements over the Realme GT 7 Pro, but that’s coming at a cost.

We are watching the current Realme GT 7 Pro prices in the global market, and the phone costs nearly $500 in most of the regions. Remember that this device has a Snapdragon 8 Elite inside, which makes it one of the best flagship devices out there for a fraction of the price.

DCS kept his statement vague, and there’s little information on how high the price tag will be for Realme GT 8 Pro. But it’s clear now that the new model is trying to distance itself from its successor’s ranking. And by the way, the rumor mill has been spilling the phone’s specifications on the internet. Here’s what it could offer.

Realme GT 8 Pro will have a flat 2K OLED and an Ultrasonic fingerprint. There’s a chance that it will score a 7000mAh battery wired to a 100W charging kit. Most importantly, this newcomer will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. We are waiting for more details to come out, so stick around if you want to stay in the loop.
