Realme C85 Series Unveiled Globally with Two Devices; C85 Pro on its Way to Pakistan

Realme’s Vietnamese branch has unveiled the C85 series, and there are two models in the lineup. We heard plenty about the Realme C85 Pro ahead of launch. The second model is a bit of a surprise. It’s a standard Realme C85 version with 5G connectivity. The “Pro” is headed to Pakistan on November 10, as confirmed by the official teasers, so pay special attention to its specs.

Realme C85 Pro

Don’t get confused by the name here. The “Pro” moinker isn’t really reflecting the C85 Pro’s position here. It’s actually cheaper than the 5G model. The reason is simply the phone’s connectivity. This is a 4G device and uses a Snapdragon 685 chip for processing.

The Pro does give you a better screen. This handset is built around a 6.8” AMOLED with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Realme says it can hit 4000 nits local peak brightness. In normal usage, though, you may get around 1200 nits, which is still decent enough. The screen covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut range.

A 7000mAh titan battery has been installed in the Realme C85 Pro, just as the company advertised, and it can be recharged at a 45W maximum input. This doesn’t come at the cost of thickness, though. It’s still just an 8.09mm device, same as last year’s Realme C75.

Realme C85 Pro is completely waterproof with the industry’s best IP69 rating, but the rest of the setup is pretty cut and dry. They used a 50MP main camera on the phone, paired with an 8MP selfie at the front. We’ll have an Android 15 OS at first boot on both devices. The starter price for Realme C85 Pro is ~$245 (~PKR 70,000) for the 8/128GB option. Pakistani price hasn't been revealed, but it should be in the ballpark.

Realme C85 5G

This phone has a faster chip and 5G support, but it’s also a little more expensive. An entry-tier Dimensity 6300 has been used on the Realme C85 5G. That’s a 2.4GHz chip with a 6nm process node. And yes, it’s better at gaming than the Snapdragon 685.

There’s no AMOLED on the basic Realme C85. It’s just an IPS LCD phone with HD+ resolution and a 6.8” panel size. The only thing special about this display is a 144Hz refresh rate with fluid animations beyond reproach. A 1200-nit HBM brightness is common on both devices.

These two phones are pretty much identical across the rest of the categories. The battery is 7000mAh with 45W charging, and there’s a 50MP camera on the back for primary photos. It retains that very same 8MP selfie shooter, hidden in a punch hole.

Each model has an IP69 Pro water protection rating, and SGS approves both C85 models for Military Grade 3-star shock resistance certification. Because the chip is newer on the C85 5G, its Bluetooth module is v5.3 with Dual Band WiFi. As we mentioned, this model is a bit pricier and will cost ~$290 (~PKR 82,000) for the solo 8/256GB trim.
