Realme 16 is being teased officially, but there’s still some time before Realme unveils it. The debut is planned for February 2nd. Only 10 days are left till the countdown ends. Most of its specs were exposed by a premature retailer listing in Vietnam. Geekbench added a few more details to the pile yesterday.
The name isn’t directly mentioned here. But we know from certifications that RMX5171 is actually the Realme 16. We also know from the early retailer listing that the device is built around a Dimensity 6400 SoC. Geekbench has verified it again.
There’s a 2.5GHz boost clock speed for the two cores and a 2.0GHz clock for the remaining six cores. Only one chip matches this CPU architecture. It’s definitely the Dimensity 6400. They may use “Turbo” in the chipset moniker, but that’s usually a marketing term.
Anyway, the Geekbench passed the device with an average of 809 points (single-core). This is far from ideal. But the multicore test run was somewhat better. It hit 2043 points. This test was done on Realme 16’s 8GB variant. They might pair it with 256GB storage. Anyway, if we look over the Realme phones Price are very premium given their high-end specs all the time.
The newer versions of Geekbench are a bit lenient. Realme 16 was tested on benchmark version 6.5.0. The scores will obviously vary if you used some other version. Android 16 is present in the handset by default. We assume it’s overlaid with the Realme UI 7.
Realme 16’s design is already out there, and we know what its specialty is. This phone may not look like its Realme 16 Pro siblings, but we do like its camera bar system. It matches a Google Pixel 9. A rear mirror selfie flanks the dual lens setup on the other side.
It’s just a 50MP main camera, but you can use that to take selfies without any guesswork for facial alignment. The screen is 6.57” AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s possibly a 7000mAh battery here. A 60W charging kit gives backup. We’ll let you know if the company reveals any other details about it. Keep watching the news.
