Oppo Reno 15 Pro Exposed with Battery & Charging Details Ahead of Launch

Oppo is in the final stages of releasing the Reno 15 lineup. The initial rollout is supposed to comprise the Reno 15 and 15 Pro models. The rumors about the third Reno 15 Pro Max have been quashed. As we inch closer to launch, the details are piling up. We came across a leak today addressing the Reno 15 Pro’s battery and charging details. Here’s what you need to know.

Since there’s allegedly no Pro Max model on the way, the Reno 15 Pro will be at the top. It would bring premium hardware, and the screen size may also be larger. There’s usually a size disparity between the standard and Pro handsets. This affects dimensions, and the phone has extra room for a bigger battery.

The leaker Yogesh Brar says the Reno 15 Pro will most likely use a 6300mAh battery. That’s not a big upgrade over the 14 Pro’s 6200mAh; not that it matters, since the cell capacity is already good enough for most users. Also, there’s no upgrade on the charging front.

It appears Oppo is running with the same 80W wired and 50W wireless charging standards for the latest Oppo Reno mobile. This still falls in the premium category, and seeing how often the Reno family is refreshed, minimal hardware upgrades are understandable.

There may not be much of a difference in the battery department, but there are certainly some big changes coming to the camera on the Reno 15 Pro. There’s apparently a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 camera in the works to be used as the Main sensor for this phone.

We’ll also have a 50MP ultrawide, and, same as ever, a 50MP telephoto Pericope lens has been used on the Pro version. The rear camera is fine, but what about the selfie shooter? Well, it seems Oppo has decided to downgrade the sensor to 32MP. The Reno 14 Pro has a 50MP selfie, so this may ruffle a few feathers.

Some display specs were also leaked a while back. There seems to be a 6.78” Flat AMOLED panel on the Reno 15 Pro, and it has your usual 1.5K resolution. We hear it may bump the refresh rate to 144Hz. This will all run on a Dimensity 8450 chip and Android 16. No claims have been made about its price, though the Reno 15 series is suspected to drop by the end of December. We now wait for confirmation.
