Oppo hasn’t made a formal announcement yet, but the market sources confirm that the company is knocking Rs. 1,000 off the A9 2020. It was originally retailing for Rs. 39,000, and after the discount, you can pick one up at an affordable Oppo price tag of Rs. 37,999.

Let’s briefly recount what the mid-range Oppo A9 2020 has to offer. You’re looking at a polycarbonate build, glossy and embossed to mimic a glass slab look. Oppo has polished the rear-facing panel, beveled the edges and rounded the corner for an ergonomic build and a trendy design language.

The A9 comes in Space Purple, Marine Green, and the refreshing Vanilla Mint editions. The vanilla mint has a subtle glistening pattern to it, on an elegant soft blue-to-pink gradient.

An Oppo quad-camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader live on this A9 2020 panel. Three of the lenses are arranged in a vertical fashion, while the fourth camera is nestled inside a capsule-shaped housing, flanking the three cameras. It uses a 48MP primary module, an 8MP 119° ultra-wide lens, and a pair of 2MP sensors. In low-light, you can toggle on the ‘Ultra Night Mode 2.0’. The front camera features a 16MP sensor behind it.

The rear A9 2020 camera can shoot it in 4K, stabilized with Oppo's EIS and gyroscope technology. Immerse yourself in what you record with 360° Dolby Atmos dual speakers.

For snappy performance, the new A9 2020is equipped with a Snapdragon 665 chipset and ‘Game Boost 2.0’. Combined with this hardware is 4GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card). To power itself, the A9 2020 uses a 5,000 mAh battery, but there’s no support for fast charging.

Go around the front to find a 6.5” notched screen that produces an 89% screen-to-body ratio and an HD+ resolution. And it boots to the previous-gen ColorOS 6 (based on Android 9).
