iPhone 18 Lineup May Get Slightly Smaller Displays, Leak Suggests

iPhone 18 series will launch this year. But not all of them are supposed to debut at the same event. We have a leak here that shared the possible screen sizes for each of the models that are going to head out in 2026. And yes, the iPhone Air 2 is among them as well.

Digital Chat Station pulled the details from its sources. He spilled the screen sizes for each of the iPhone 18 versions. The exact reason was not specified here. But all these iPhones have shrunk this year. The basic iPhone 18 is built around a 6.27” XDR OLED (vs. 6.3” on iPhone 17). The phone will keep the 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and the Dynamic Island.

Then comes the iPhone 18 Pro. This one has the same 6.27” OLED size, by the way. But they might hide the Face ID under the screen. So there’s probably a new Dynamic Island system for it. The leaker claimed it will carry over the 120Hz LTPO refresh rate from the old versions. Therefore, to check the only launched models, you can refer to the Apple iPhone Price list.

iPhone 18 Pro Max will obviously have the same Dynamic Island changes as the standard Pro. But the size will be bigger than the others. Its OLED panel will be 6.86”. That’s also smaller than the 17 Pro Max that had a 6.9” panel. The screen cutouts will look different on these two.

We may also get the iPhone Air 2 this year. And DCS pegs its screen to be 6.55”. This phone will have the same Dynamic Island as the original Air, though. LTPO 120Hz is on all four devices here. The Air 2 is actually a bit bigger since the screen was 6.5” last time.

These aren’t the most dramatic size differences over generations. And DCS said that the iPhone 18 series is in the sample production stages. So these might be true measurements. There’s always a chance that Apple might round off these numbers to 6.3”, 6.9”, and 6.5” for advertisement later on. We’ll have more developments to share in the future. Keep watching the news.
