Galaxy S27 Series’ AMOLEDs Hit Mass Production After Exynos 2700 Chipset

We found a report from The Elec that Samsung may have started mass production of Exynos 2700, and it’s scaled to achieve at least a 10% higher yield than Exynos 2600. That was yesterday. We’ve now come across a separate report in South Korea about the Galaxy S27 series’ display entering mass production. This is what we learned.

Apparently, they’ve begun the necessary preparations to start manufacturing the AMOLEDs for the Galaxy S27 series at mass. There’s a fourth device in the group this time. Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is part of the series. So their display production is expected to be higher, as is the case for the chipset.

Samsung Display is said to churn out up to 10% more AMOLEDs for the S27 series than last year’s S26, all to accommodate the Samsung latest S model. The annual shipment target for the new series is 47-48 million units, which is an uptick from the S26 series low 40 million-unit target.

They intend to manufacture at least 2 to 3 million AMOLEDs for the Galaxy S27 Pro this year alone. And next year, the figure’s expected to be between 4 and 5 million. Those are all early predictions, by the way. Not all leaks are 100% accurate all the time.

They aren’t supposed to launch the devices in 2026. But we can infer from the leak that Samsung wants the AMOLEDs ready by 2027 for when the S27 series is ready for assembly. We can’t say with confidence that the base S27 and S27 Plus will get a privacy display.

The privacy display is definitely coming to the upper two: Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. By the way, the earlier report said that the Pro model has a mixed stock with Exynos 2700 for the Korean and European markets. We intend to find out how well it holds up against the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Keep watching the news for more updates.
