Galaxy S26 Ultra's New S Pen Design Leaked; Render Confirms the Stylus is Staying

You may have heard some misleading rumors about the Galaxy S26 Ultra skipping the S Pen entirely. But that’s not the case, according to a new report. The flagship lineup has many changes on the way, and one of them is a redesigned S Pen that will harmonize with the new look of the S26 Ultra.

Samsung removed the Bluetooth functions from the built-in S Pen on the S25 Ultra. Then, the company removed the Digitizer layer from the Z Fold 7, completely stripping away the S Pen support from the folding phone. That has created some uncertainty about the future of the stylus on the S series.

If the leaked image shared by the Ice Universe on X holds weight, the Ultra users have nothing to worry about, at least for now. The S26 Ultra will maintain the S Pen, but it will look a bit different and may be slimmer. This shouldn’t be a surprise, since the phone itself is shaving quite a lot of bulk.

Samsung's latest Ultra mobiles, at least in recent years, have consistently had boxy frames. The flat designs allowed the S Pen to sit completely flush with the body. But now, Samsung wants to make the S26 Ultra more rounded, which means a flat head clicker/lock at the bottom of the stylus is no longer viable.

The flat head clicker might get replaced with a new locking mechanism and a more tapered design. There’s some ambiguity in the leak and the image shared by Ice Universe, but it does confirm the continuation of stylus support on the Galaxy S Ultra family.

The S Pen may survive, but assume Bluetooth support is still missing. After all, this feature was pulled from the current Galaxy S25 Ultra as well. Some other details we know about the S26 Ultra include a 200MP main unit followed by a 50MP ultrawide lens.

Our favorite 50MP 5x periscope telephoto (1/2.52-inch, 0.7µm, 111mm) sensor will make a comeback once again with a TOF depth mapper right next to it. The second telephoto, however, might drop its image quality due to a smaller sensor size. More details about the S26 Ultra will follow soon. Keep watching the news, so you don’t miss any updates.
