The press is heating up with Galaxy S26 series leaks because they are so close to launch. Of course, there are some controversial rumors among them that are hard to believe, yet still a possibility. We have a new report from Korea that says the Galaxy S26 series debut might be pushed to February.
Let’s get you up to speed on what’s been happening in the rumor mill for the past couple of months. In early November, we saw a leak that said the Galaxy S26 series has been delayed. Then a new report showed up. It suggested the January timeline will be maintained by Samsung, just like the good old days.
YONHAP news outlet from Korea has made a claim that favours the February launch window, not January. Their article was all about the Exynos 2600, but we have already established what this chip can do. Samsung published a press release and gave away its features with the Samsung smartphone's price.
The news report commented on the timeline right at the end. It said, and we quote, “Samsung will hold a ceremony in the United States in February for the Galaxy S26 series.“ YONHAP is one of Korea’s trusted news sources, which is why this leak is going viral.
We still have some reservations about it. After all, no leak is 100% guaranteed to pan out. We advise waiting for more sources to comment on how accurate the February launch window is for the Galaxy S26 series.
We know that the 2nm Exynos 2600 will be used exclusively on the Korean Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus. The entire lineup will have Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally. Samsung has obviously tried to bridge the gap between the two types of chip, but it’s becoming clear that Exynos 2600 is still behind.
Safe to say that this year’s lineup is also relying on Qualcomm (for the most part), which is good news. The Snapdragon chips make the phones more stable and reliable, though we are still curious to see Samsung break the 3nm barrier with its Exynos 2600. Keep watching the news for updates.
