The August 2026 security patch was deployed to the South Korean Samsung Galaxy S26 devices last week. We’ve been waiting for the update to expand, and it did today, as the patch just got unlocked in an Asian market. From this point, they are going to speed up the update’s global release.
The update was late this month. August 2026 patch is being released in September, even on their new flagship phones, which are usually the priority. Anyway, get familiar with the firmware version S94xBXXS4AZHL because this is going to show up on your Galaxy S26 devices when the August update is unlocked in your region.
This patch has already surfaced in the Indian market. So we’ll probably see the update in Pakistan before long. August 2026 update is only 500MB in size. Yes, it applies to all three models. The firmware version does change partially on vanilla Samsung new S mobile, S26 Pro, and S26 Ultra.
There are a few weak points in the current system. Those vulnerabilities are being addressed with this patch. But the update has an even more important bug fix for S26 Ultra’s display. Ultra models that have the red tint issue on their screen get a fix in the August 2026 Update.
The other two handsets reinforce security. Apparently, the update is going to patch up 56 weak points in your current firmware that might be exploited by cyberattackers. 38 are CVEs from Google, and the other 18 are fixes from Samsung to patch loopholes in their One UI.
The update process doesn’t change whatsoever. Update notifications usually alert the S26 owners if an update is available. If that’s not you, there’s always an option to manually “Check for Updates” in Settings >> Software Updates. A menu with a “Download and Install” Button will show up when Samsung pushes the update to Pakistan. Keep watching the news for more updates.
