China’s tech regulator has just cleared the Galaxy A57 with official 3C certification. The phone is definitely on the right track. Its Chinese launch is now set in stone. This is likely the point where the global certification spree begins, not just for the Galaxy A57, but also for the A27 and A37.
SM-A5760 is the model number mentioned on the 3C listing. It’s obviously the Galaxy A57, even though the name is concealed in the document. The clue is right in the code. Anyway, 3C had its charging details.
Sadly, we don’t have any charging upgrades this year. They are sticking with the same old 45W input on the A57. It’s faster than the proposed Galaxy S26 charging speeds, but experts agree that Samsung should move away from this ancient wattage standard.
3C certification pretty much guarantees the charging specs on the Samsung new A model. You will be able to plug the phone into a minimum 5V 2A input. And it will go all the way up to 15V 3A. We assume the battery size will remain the same, since charging speeds are usually tied to cell capacity.
By the way, Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus have both got 3C clearance in China. Their documents confirmed that both handsets have a maximum input speed of 25W. So A57 is technically faster, at least in the charging department.
The bragging rights go to the affordable option, which could ruffle some feathers. Samsung treats the A series as a completely separate class of devices. So this odd comparison is not really a huge surprise for those who know the company’s practices.
Galaxy A57 is also headed for a chipset and OS upgrade. There’s an Exynos 1680 under testing. Then we have an Android 16 x One UI 8.5 coming to this phone. We’ll probably discover more about this device by the time it launches. So keep an eye out for more updates.
