The Pro models and iPhone Ultra have grouped up. The base iPhone 18 is pushed to 2027, and it may now debut with the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2. The lineup that’s getting unveiled later was leaked with screen specs today. And these are all the details we found.
The three phones that were leaked by DCS are probably coming in Spring 2027, perhaps the first quarter of next year. The screens on the iPhone 18e and Apple iPhone 18 range from mini to compact. And then there’s the iPhone Air 2 with a medium-size display.
The exact specs were given too. All the screens are supposed to have the Super Retina resolution, which is usually near 1.5K. The base iPhone 18 that’s now delayed will grab a 6.3” LTPO OLED screen at 120Hz Pro Motion RR. There’s actually an LTPS OLED for the iPhone 18e at 6.12”.
The refresh rate on the iPhone 18e will be locked at 60Hz. And then we have the iPhone Air 2 with an LTPO OLED of 6.55”. This will be a 1.5K SR panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, which they call ProMotion. They haven’t really changed anything about the iPhone 18’s screen. The display size is actually bigger by 0.02” on the iPhone 18e, and the iPhone Air 2 size also goes up by 0.05”. DCS reports usually trump any claims made by unverified sources. So please disregard any previous rumors that you may have heard saying the iPhone 18e will finally call it quits on 60Hz displays.
Each phone is supposed to have a different chip. iPhone 18 is to grab the basic Apple A20 silicon, which may or may not change the fabrication process to 2nm. That upgrade is practically guaranteed on the iPhone Air 2, since it’s supposed to have a 2nm Apple A20 Pro silicon. Keep watching the news for updates.
