Xiaomi Redmi A1, the first phone from the Redmi’s newborn A-series, is now just hours away from its official unveiling. This ultra-budget competitor has been under surveillance by many tipsters, getting teased constantly over the past few weeks. And just ahead of its formal appearance, the Rumor mill has dumped an all-out last-minute expose of A1 on the net.

The newly posted Redmi A1 leak includes high-quality press renders, live shots, retail box, and core specifications of Redmi A1 — it’s the closest you will get to the phone’s fresh-out-of-the-box preview. Let’s see what this phone brings to the table.

To start things off, you are looking at a leather-texture minimal design on Redmi A1. The phone boasts soft pastel shades and a matching camera island on each skin — props to Redmi for giving this low-cost phone such a premium-looking finish.

The camera platform on the upcoming Redmi A1 has two lenses inside, and according to the rumors, the primary lens is probably an 8MP shooter paired with an auxiliary depth sensor. The camera unit of the latest 4G Xiaomi mobile has a slight protrusion that nicely meshes into the backplate. All in all, A1 has a clean, uniform look. Here are some of its previously reported specs.

The phone will have a 6.52-inch IPS panel on the front with 720 x 1600 resolution. An Helio A22 under the hood will control its performance and graphics. It comes with an old standard eMMc 5.1 32GB storage. The phone pairs 2GB of memory with the Android 12 GO user interface.

A 5000mAh cell rated for 10-Watt charging will juice up the entire phone. The screen front has thick bezels with a drop-notched 5MP selfie shooter up top. It is expected to retail around Rs. 27,500 to 30,000 PKR.
