From Xiaomi Redmi’s newborn catalog, one of the first devices from the brand’s A-series emerged in the first week of October. Dubbed Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus, the phone has been doing rounds of the global market for several weeks featuring a biometric lock, a semi-premium design, a powerful MediaTek Chip, and more.

According to an internally sourced gossip and speculation from Redmi’s typical debut cycle, Redmi A1+ is about to get deployed in Pakistan. Its price tag and launch date are yet to be confirmed. Here’s a detailed overview of its specification.

From the images alone, you can tell that the Redmi A1 Plus is just a rehashed base Redmi A1 with a fingerprint scanner slapped on the back. The phone has soft black, blue, and green shades with a leather texture backplate.

Although the Xiaomi phone price is relatively low, it feels well-made and offers decent specs. Built around a flat 6.52-inch IPS panel bearing HD+ resolution, it flaunts 400nits max brightness, 120Hz touch sampling rate, and 70% NTSC color gamut. The most appealing feature of the A1+ is its large 5000mAh battery, which lasts up to 30 days on standby and 30 hours of video playback (advertised).

MediaTek Helio A22 processor, 3GB of LPDDR4X memory, 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, and PowerVR GPU make the Redmi A1 Plus standout in the slew of cheaply specced smartphones. Although yet to be confirmed, its 3GB plus 32GB variant should cost around 19,000 PKR.

In addition to an 8MP + 0.3MP primary camera, the phone has a front 5MP selfie shooter, with recording limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second. However, the AI baked into its lightweight Android 12 GO interface may help with photography and Videography. The upcoming handset is expected to cost the same as the Xiaomi Redmi 10A Price in Pakistan but the exact retail tag will be revealed once the launch.
