Xiaomi’s Poco F lineup is purely for flagship devices. The company’s X lineup is less substantial as it usually consists of budget and midrange phones. Once they’ve officially deployed the Poco F8 series (due on November 26), the brand will commence preparations for the Poco X8 Pro. We just found this device with a certification. Here’s what we learned.
The model code associated with the Poco X8 Pro is 2511FPC34G. This number was found in the SGS records, and the certifier’s listing coughed up its battery, charging, and connectivity options. It has the usual WiFi and Bluetooth hardware. This is obviously a 5G phone, just as last time.
Poco also plans to give this device NFC support. The listing referred to a battery called BM6Q, which will have 6500mAh capacity with a true rated value of 6330mAh. This is an upgrade coming from the Poco X7 Pro global’s 6000mAh cell.
By the way, the model number 2511FPC34G ends at “G.” That’s usually an indication of a global device. The SGS certification goes on to reveal its charger type, which is MDY-19-EX. It has a fast 100W input and features Class II protection against electric shock.
This isn’t the only certification platform where the latest Poco Xiaomi mobile is seen. We also saw this device back in July at Europe’s EEC. But there wasn’t much to report due to limited facts. The SGS certification, on the other hand, was a gold mine of information on Poco X8 Pro.
Now, Poco doesn’t usually build original phones. These devices are mostly Xiaomi Redmi phones rebranded as Poco. It’s speculated that the Poco X8 Pro is actually a Redmi Turbo 5 in disguise. And if that’s the case, we may see a 6.67” OLED screen on this handset with LTPS tech.
Redmi Turbo 5 is unreleased, but leaks suggest there’s a Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip on this newcomer and possibly a 7000mAh battery. It’s supposed to land in China in December. Poco X8 Pro will be a global product and may debut later. We have our ears to the ground for more developments on this story. Keep watching the news for updates.
