SGS tested the Poco X8 Pro back in November, and now it has cleared the BIS certification. The device is clearly jumping through the regulatory hoops across the global market, preparing for a launch. Here’s what we have on the device so far.

The model code is mentioned in the BIS database, not the product name. But the number “2511FPC34I” is easily recognizable anywhere. We saw the global Poco X8 Pro (2511FPC34G) in SGS and EEC certifications. Today’s entry doesn’t reveal much, except that the phone will soon debut in Asia.
The model number ending with the “G” is the global version. Devices from this line usually end up in Pakistan, and we assume this will be the X8 Pro version to arrive locally. The specs are unknown so far, but we have a theory that potentially reveals some of Poco X8 Pro’s specifications.
Redmi Turbo 5 is being planned for the Chinese market (exclusively). The rumor mill pegs its launch in January. Poco doesn’t make original devices. It just takes Redmi phones and rebrands them for a global deployment. So, this new Xiaomi Poco mobile might be based on the Redmi Turbo 5. We are basing this theory on the fact that the Poco X7 Pro was a Redmi Turbo 4 rehash.

There are some clues on the web about what the Redmi Turbo 5 will offer. Poco X8 Pro being identical to that phone inadvertently spells out all of its features too. The Turbo 5 may use a 1.5K LTPS OLED with an 8000mAh or possibly a 9000mAh cell.
The reports indicate 100W charging speeds on the Turbo 5. There will be a metal frame to encase all the components. The body will be sealed tightly with an IP69 dust and waterproof safety rating. These specs will be featured on the Poco X8 Pro too, which means it will be a semi-flagship device. We have our ears to the ground in case something new comes up. Keep watching the news for more updates.
