Xiaomi Poco F7 Global Launch Expected in May with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Chip

Xiaomi Poco F7 might launch soon, now that Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra have gone official in the markets worldwide. Leaks on the internet suggest that Poco F7 will be released by the end of next month, and it’s likely one of the Asian markets where it arrives first.

It should debut in more than one region, based on reports, so expect this device to have a global release. So far, the insights shared by Yogesh Brar point out the phone’s official debut in late May 2025, and if the rumors are true, Poco F7 will be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro from the sister brand.

It’s something we’ve seen Poco do on multiple occasions. There’s a different logo on most of its devices, but Redmi is almost always the original creator of said devices. Both are subsidiaries of the same company, so everything they do is above board.

If Xiaomi's latest Poco phone is indeed the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro in disguise, we don’t need to look elsewhere for its specifications. This newcomer is likely based on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a chip with eight cores, dual-core AI processor, and a 3.2GHz clock frequency.

Even though it’s been labeled “s” by the chip maker, which is usually an indicator of lower performance, this new SoC is still faster than last year’s SD 8 Gen 3. But, its GPU is not as powerful as the forerunner’s, not that it will affect the phone’s overall user experience.

Let’s talk display. Poco F7 is probably built around a 6.83” flat 120Hz OLED panel with LTPS technology and around 1.5k resolution. There are slim bezels all around this display with a minor dot-hole for its 20MP selfie camera. Also, the phone has HDR10+ and 3200 nits peak brightness.

The battery inside this new device is a Si/C Li-Ion 7550 mAh, which the company miraculously fit into an 8mm chassis. There’s no wireless charging, but the wired input is pretty fast at 90 watts. The rear camera is a combo of 50MP (Main) and 8MP (Ultrawide).

A warning for the readers: these specs are only a possibility if the Poco F7 actually turns out to be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. We advise you to take this news with a pinch of salt until there’s an official confirmation from the brand. Stay tuned for more updates.
