Xiaomi Poco F7 Finally Debuts with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 6,500mAh Battery

Xiaomi has finally unveiled the vanilla Poco F7 in the global market, and it packs a serious punch for a not-so-expensive price. With the base variant joining the existing Pro and Ultra devices, the Poco F7 clan is now officially complete. Here’s what you need to know about Xiaomi’s latest flagship phone.

This newcomer has a machined Aluminum frame and a frosted glass finish on the back. Its White and Black colors are attractive in their own right, but the Cyber Silver Edition is the belle of the ball with its dual-tone design. The upper section of the Poco F7 is given a unique look with a mechanical overlay visible through the transparent glass.

Poco F7’s screen resolution is a little over 1080p. There’s a flat AMOLED on top of the phone with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness advertised at 3200 nits. It brings an optical fingerprint reader on the same panel and a 20MP selfie camera inside a punch hole.

The primary lens on the back is home to a 50MP OIS 1/1.95” sensor, and the one beside it is an 8MP ultrawide shooter. Xiaomi’s new Poco model’s build is secured by an IP68 rating, and the screen gets minimal safety with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It ships with an Android 15 system out of the box.

That Snapdragon logo on the back hints at Poco F7’s flagship performance. There’s a brand-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip inside this device, which AnTuTu tested at over 2 million points. That’s almost a 30 percent jump in performance compared to the older Poco F6.

The 8s Gen 4 is a powerful chip, which means it also generates a lot of heat. The Poco F7 handles its temperatures using a 6000mm² 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop System, the biggest we’ve ever seen on a Poco phone. This handset has a WildBoost engine to help with stable gaming performance.

The phone is claimed to run Genshin Impact at sustained 120FPS, thanks to the cooling solution and the WildBoost 4.0 gaming engine. The chipset is wired to a 6500 mAh battery, which should suffice for a full day’s run and several hours of gaming.

It supports 90W HyperCharging, just as we suspected. The charger only takes 30 minutes to replenish 80% of the phone’s battery. Its Type-C port even allows you to reverse-charge other devices at a 22.5W input. That’s a rare feature on a smartphone. Poco F7 starts at $399 (~PKR 113,000) for the 12/256GB memory trim.
