The Xiaomi 12 flagship series launched in Pakistan on schedule today. The lineup, featuring the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, is now available to pre-order nationwide. The pre-bookings can be made through Xiaomi’s online channels and partners. With each pre-registration, Xiaomi is throwing in a bundle of freebies.

Xiaomi 12

The Xiaomi 12 is the more compact of the two models, roughly matching the dimensions of the iPhone 13. Its screen is a 6.28” punch-hole AMOLED, peaking at 1080P resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling, ultra-sharp contrast ratio, and TrueColor reproduction. A 360° ambient light sensor smoothly auto-adjusts the brightness levels.

But the big highlight of these phones is their cameras. The ProFocus captures moving subjects with sharp Motion Tracking, Motion Capture, and Eye-tracking Focus modes. Night mode works on video and wide and ultra-wide cameras (not to mention a dedicated night Portrait mode.) The camera array is a cluster of 50MP OIS, 5MP macro, and 13MP ultra-wide lenses.

Everything runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 engine, a 4500 mAh battery, 67W wired, and 50W wireless charging support. You get 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage variants. Android 12 runs on it out of the box. Xiaomi 12 starts from Rs. 179,999.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

The Pro model is more or less identical in design to the base version. But it rocks faster charging, better cameras, and a more advanced display. Its screen is a bigger 6.73” AMOLED that uses a next-gen LTPO 2.0 panel. It can dynamically adjust the refresh rate for better power-saving. The resolution peaks at a sharper WQHD + and 522 PPI pixel density.

The triple-lens camera system aboard the Xiaomi 12 Pro has three 50MP sensors behind it. It’s designed for wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto shooting modes.

The battery inside the Xiaomi 12 Pro is a 4600 mAh cell, powered at 120W over the wire and 50W wirelessly. Quad-speakers deliver authentic stereo sound, and liquid cooling tech keeps the performance from throttling.
