Vivo Y12s Price in Pakistan Cut by Rs 1,000; The New Entry-level Vivo Now Starts at Rs 19,999

The Vivo Y12s came out in January this year along with Vivo Y20s and Y51s. The handset is an entry-level model from the Chinese phone maker and it just got cheaper with a recent price cut in Pakistan. Let’s take a look.

Featuring bare-bones, essential features, the Y12s launched at Rs. 20,999. After the new Rs. 1,000 discount, the phone is now available for Rs. 19,999.

Its design is one of the better aspects of the Vivo Y12s, which otherwise offers a lackluster specification sheet. Its polycarbonate shell — with its neatly trimmed and squared-off edges and corners —  comes in Phantom Black and Glacier Blue colors. The fingerprint scanner is merged with the power button.

The camera plate is a rectangular strip bound in a chrome accent. Inside it lies a two-camera array: one 13MP f/2.2 primary camera and a 2MP low-resolution depth sensor. The front camera is encased in a drop-notch and has an 8MP sensor behind its wider f/1.8 lens.

The low-end hardware powering the Y12s by Vivo lacks advanced photography features — electronic image stabilization or night mode. The scene mode selection is limited to time-lapse and portraits. Nevertheless, the handset is a nice entry-level addition to the Vivo price list

Flip the phone over to find a 6.51” IPS LCD that peaks at a 720P resolution. Once again, the Vivo Y12s screen doesn’t have any additional bells and whistles, such as a high refresh rate or Gorilla Glass protection. The build also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Vivo Y12s uses the old-gen Helio P35 chip, 3GB of memory, and a 5000 mAh battery. The phone charges over a dated micro-USB interface without any fast charging support. Out of the box, Vivo’s previous-gen FunTouchOS 11 powers the device. You get only 32GB of internal storage, expandable with the microSD card slot.
