Vivo Price in Pakistan for Y12s is Rs. 19,999; Launched with Helio P35 and 5,000mah Battery

Vivo just launched the Y12s in Pakistan. Although Vivo Pakistan has yet to make it official with an announcement, the 3GB/32GB variant of the Vivo Y12's successor is on the market right now, sources told WhatMobile.

The Vivo Y12s follows the familiar Vivo design — angled edges on the frame, boxy camera plate, and a notch on the front — finished in emerald and blue colors. Its fingerprint scanner is merged with the power button.

A removable microSD card slot, an MicroUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are also present. But, the mono speaker lacks stereo support.

In a similar vein as the obsolete USB interface, the hardware inside the Vivo Y12s is also out of place in 2021. MediaTek’s Helio P35 chipset, which came out in early 2018, is at the heart of the device, powered by a 5000 mAh battery, basically, it is an entry-level addition to the Vivo price list.

No fast charging support available here, although the feature is widely available across the budget segment. The Android10-based FunTouchOS 10 runs on the Y12s, likely upgradable to FunTouchOS 11 — which is already out.  3GB of memory and 32GB is shipped with the Y12s.

The screen is 6.51”, with an IPS LCD underneath, and reaches a generic 720P resolution at the standard 60Hz refresh rate. Encased in the notch that extends into the front panel are a wide-enough f/1.8 lens and an 8MP sensor behind it. On the back, a garden-variety 13MP sensor with a narrow f/2.2 lens and a 2MP depth sensor join it. The base Vivo y12s variant starts from Rs. 21,000.
