The Lite substitute for Vivo V60 is coming soon. Geekbench recently tested a phone with the model number “V2530.” It’s suspected to be the second member in the series, titled “Vivo V60 Lite.” The newcomer’s benchmark listing was immediately flagged by one of the trusty leakers on the internet, and here’s what it revealed.
Vivo usually releases the Lite models in two flavors. There’s a 5G one, which, understandably, boasts a faster chip. Then comes the 4G version with the least powerful hardware among all its siblings. The same divide is expected with the Vivo V60 Lite.
It seems Vivo V60 Lite 4G is stuck with the same chipset that used to power its forerunner: a 6nm Snapdragon 685. Geekbench didn’t mention this SoC by name, but the core architecture, cluster size, and speeds all but confirm that the old chip is making a comeback.
This chip has aged more than two years at this point, but it’s still kicking around with four 2.8GHz (Cortex A73) cores and four 2.0GHz (Cortex A53) cores. There’s nothing to complain about when it comes to processing power. Our only grievance with this platform is a weak Adreno 610 integrated GPU. In contrast, mid-range phones in the Vivo mobile price bracket often deliver stronger GPU performance.
Geekbench points to 8GB RAM on the Vivo V60 Lite, which is plenty for an average person’s multitasking needs. The test scores are about what you would expect from an entry-level phone. Single-core results peak at 473 points, and the multi-core results fall flat at 1536 points.
The software interface is built around Android 15: Origin OS if the phone launches in China, or the FunTouch overlay for the global market. As always, Geekbench limits the details to SoC, RAM, and Android version. We have to look elsewhere to find other specs.
So far, the reports have mentioned a 90W fast charging support on the V60 Lite. An NFC chip will be added to the newcomer, and hopefully, an AMOLED 120Hz combo that was used on the Vivo V50 Lite. Of course, this is pure speculation at this point. We’ll find more about this newcomer as we get closer to launch.
