Tecno Pova Curve 2 has arrived in Pakistan today. It’s a rather thin device, even though it has a massive 8000mAh battery onboard. And yes, it also has 5G support since the Pova Curve 2 runs a Dimensity chip. This is everything you need to know about the handset before you pull out your wallet.

Pova Curve 2 is built around a 6.78” AMOLED that bends over the sides. It’s a FHD+ 1080p resolution screen. The pixels are pushed at a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen’s local peak brightness is 4,500 nits when all the power is directed to a small region. HBM mode for general use will allow 1,600 nits.
There are thin, uniform bezels around that AMOLED. It’s guarded by Gorilla Glass 7i, by the way. And just as we said, this is a 5G handset with a Dimensity 7100 doing the heavy lifting with a 2.4 GHz eight-core CPU and a Mali G610 iGPU. Fast UFS 2.2 storage is also supported here.

Pova Curve 2’s battery is pretty huge at 8000mAh, and yet its thickness is only 7.49mm. This is apparently the thinnest phone in the world with that kind of battery pack. It plugs into a 45W charger for backup. Light users might even stretch that battery to two days per charge. The default OS on this phone is Android 16, not 17. You get HiOS 16 from the factory. We do have two OS updates here, so you can use one of them on HiOS 17 when it’s official. Anyway, the phone is absolutely perfect for Pakistan’s networking infrastructure with G1 signal enhancement and a dedicated SE1 dual-band WiFi chip.

The camera bump is triangular and set at the corner. It does look pretty, but the setup is basic, with a single 50MP main camera on the back. And the selfie shooter behind the screen is 13MP. You’ll record 2K video at 30FPS from the back camera.
Pova Curve 2 has dual speakers, by the way (Dolby Atmos). And there’s an optical screen fingerprint reader as well. It does have minor water resistance (IP64 rating) and 1.5m drop protection. The phone’s official price in Pakistan is Rs 100,000 for the 8/256GB trim.
