After the Tecno Camon 17 launch, Pova 2 is the latest performance entry-level phone from the budget brand. It comes with a massive battery, a huge screen, and a gaming chip from MediaTek. The Pova 2 debuted in the Philippines, and it’s slated for launch in India on August 2. Sources tell WhatMobile that the Pova 2 is also coming to Pakistan next month.

The highlight of the Tecno Pova 2 is its 7000 mAh battery that quick-charges over 18W. Ten minutes of charging is enough for 20 hours of music playback and 2.4 hours of call time. A single charge promises all-day battery life, if not more.

The MediaTek Helio G85 is at the heart of Tecno Pova 2, delivering speedy performance and a 180Hz screen touch sampling rate. It works with up to 6GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage, expandable through a microSD card.

Plus, software features like ET Game Engine and WeZone in Tecno's new model for 2021 will make the gaming experience more immersive. HiOS 7.6, built on Android11, powers the Pova 2 right out of the box.

For visuals, we’re looking at a 6.9” IPS LCD with 480 nits of peak brightness and a crisp Full HD resolution. A single hole is punched through its center, housing an 8MP selfie camera. The rear camera cluster is made of one 48MP wide and three 2MP sticker lenses.

At 9.62mm of depth, the Pova 2 shell undoubtedly has a heft to it. An accent strip runs across the backplate that’s available in blue, black, and silver shades. The base edition is priced at 140 EUR (~ Rs. 26,700.)
