The design of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has been outed with a few CAD renders. The leak happened right after we saw the CAD renders for the Fold 8. No big changes have been made to the frame or its dimensions. These are the details we found.

You can see the Flip 8 from multiple angles in these CAD renders, though it is too soon to claim that the images are 100% accurate. The cover panel has even thinner borders. It has dual cutouts for the two cameras. The phone seems to be missing the telephoto lens again.
By the way, the source that shared these images also had a few measurements. The frame is 166.8 x 75.4 x 6.6 mm, to be precise. It looks like this new Samsung Flip mobile is just a tad wider and taller. It’s not enough to be a tangible difference, but it’s there.

The unfolded Flip 8 is 6.6 mm thick only. And when you slap the device shut, the thickness goes up to 13.2mm. Galaxy Z Flip 7 was 13.7mm thick when closed, so they may have ever so slightly made the handset slimmer, nothing you will notice with your bare eyes. There were some screen details in the report.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 may get a 6.9” folding screen inside, and the outside display will be a 4.1” panel again. Flip 7 was built around the same display measurement; there’s no big change to see this year. If Samsung doesn’t have anything new to offer outside, there are probably some big upgrades coming on the inside.
We know that the software will be updated to One UI 9 Android 17 by the time the Flip 8 and Fold 8 will show up. And those aren’t the only two devices they are making. Several leaks have confirmed that the Galaxy Z Wide Fold is coming, and all three are supposed to debut in July. Keep watching the news for updates.
