Samsung still has some yield issues to solve before it can make the 2nm Exynos 2600 mainstream. They don’t have enough time to do so with the Galaxy S26 series. But the company will have plenty of time to install the record-breaking Exynos 2600 on Galaxy Z Flip 8 and make it the world’s first Flip phone with a 2nm chip.

Exynos 2600 has already begun mass production in Korea, but only the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus in the home market will bag this chip due to limited supply. The rest of the markets will see Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips on all three phones. Although we don’t think anyone will be complaining about it.
Galaxy Z Flip 8 will probably launch in July or August next year. That’s more than enough time for Samsung's latest price catalog to make the manufacturing process efficient, acquire wafers, and yield more Exynos 2600 chips per wafer. The plans are in motion, says “the Bell” publication in Korea.

The Galaxy Flip phones had already switched to Exynos from Qualcomm last year. The Flip 7 got Exynos 2500, not the Snapdragon 8 Elite. And the Flip 8 is headed down the same path with Exynos 2600, not the SD 8 Elite Gen 5.
There is one upside to this, however. Exynos 2600 will make the Z Flip 8 the world’s first clamshell device with a 2nm silicon on its back — one more record Samsung can embellish in its books. There’s something else about the Flip 8 that you might like when it’s unveiled.

They plan on making the Flip 8 thinner, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is only left with an 8.9mm body (folded). The Flip 7 was left as is, and people complained about its unfair treatment. Samsung will make up for it next time and probably make the Flip 8 just as thin, if not more.
The exact thickness figures haven’t come up yet. There’s obviously very little to go on when it comes to the new Galaxy Z Fold and Flip devices. We have our ears to the ground in case something new comes up. Keep watching the news for updates.
