Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Could Support Faster 25W Wireless Charging with Qi2

Wireless charging at 15W is an ancient standard. Samsung’s Galaxy S lineup has stuck with it for generations, but there’s finally hope for an upgrade. We’ve come across a credible leak that says the Galaxy S26 lineup will adopt the new Qi2 wireless input with magnetic alignment.

Some early retail listings and certifications for a new Samsung accessory have led to this rumor. There’s apparently a Samsung Magnetic Wireless Charger (model EP-P2900) out there. This is a 25W wireless charger. Its charging coil also has magnets for automatic alignment.

This is a dream come true for some Samsung fans. The mag snap just came to pixels in the latest round. Apple has had it for many years. These brands will no longer watch the Korean brand from the rearview mirror if this leak turns out to be true.

This alleged 25W wireless charger accessory is obviously only supported for Galaxy S and Galaxy Z products. The A series hasn’t had wireless charging so far. This product is black in color and circular in shape, by the way.

But it’s not all great news. We learned that there’s a catch to this upgrade. Apparently, not all models support magnetic wireless (25W) input. The new Samsung flagship mobile still has the S Pen support to consider. Magnets will entangle with the S Pen digitizer under the phone’s screen.

On the other hand, some leaks say only the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be eligible for the 25W wireless upgrade, and the basic Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus will remain at 15W. It doesn’t seem to be a possibility, unless Samsung has somehow fixed the S Pen interference issue with Magnetic cases.

The wireless support isn’t the sole upgrade we’ll have on this series. There’s also a 60W wired input to consider on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s a proper generational upgrade, it seems. We’ll have more updates for you in the days to follow. Keep watching the news.
