Samsung Galaxy S26 FE’s launch event is only a few days out. They plan to unveil the handset on August 27, and the whole thing will be livestreamed on Samsung’s YouTube channel. It’s almost a week away at this point, but there’s already a leaked unboxing video in circulation that gave us the phone’s live preview before an official announcement is made.
Don’t get too excited for it, because it’s a bland unboxing experience, from what we can tell. It’s just minimal packaging. There’s a phone right at the top, and a charging cable under the booklet. You get nothing extra but a SIM ejector tool.
There’s no charger or a TPU case here. It’s a metal body design. The Samsung latest S mobile has very thin bezels around the screen. A camera demo is thrown in the video as well to test the S26 FE’s zoom. We don’t know yet if it was running stable One UI, but we did notice significant lag when the user zoomed in and out on its camera.
We had to translate from Spanish, but the leaker said it’s a 120Hz AMOLED on an Alumium chassis. There’s also an obvious triple camera setup here. No other details were given on the Instagram post, but we do have plenty to draw from the leaks.
Galaxy S26 FE has leaked more than once with a full spec sheet, so we know pretty much everything about said device. Apparently, there’s no upgrade for the camera or the battery. It has the old 50MP ISOCELL GN3 outsole. That will be the main shooter. And yes, OIS will reappear.
Then comes the S26 FE’s Ultrawide 12MP GalaxyCore GC12A2 sensor. And the telephoto is an 8MP OmniVision OV08A1 at 3X zoom with OIS. There’s possibly a 4900mAh cell on the newcomer and 45W fast charging. These features are all borrowed from the older S25 FE.
Galaxy S26 FE is built around Exynos 2500, which was the flagship from last year, and it was also seen on Galaxy Z Flip 7. So expect the same level of performance there. There’s also 8GB RAM on the base S26 FE with 256GB storage. But they might bump the price by €50. Keep watching the news for more updates.
