The June 2025 security patch is now available on the Galaxy A53 as well. We’ve been seeing multiple devices receive this update lately, especially those models that received the One UI 7. The Galaxy A53 also bagged the OS update last month, and now it’s going back to its monthly patch update schedule.
The firmware versions we’ve spotted with the June update belong to the Galaxy A53’s International and European builds. If you have a variant with either SM-A536B or SM-A536E model numbers, you should be able to access the update on your phone. You can look for their respective firmware “A536BXXSFFYEA” and “A536EXXSFFYEA” in the Software Updates menu under the changelog.
This goes without saying that the update will eventually hit Pakistan in a couple of days. Your Galaxy A53 could schedule and install the June patch for you if automatic updates are on. Or you can look for it manually by going to Settings >> Software Updates, and tap the button that says “Check for Update.”
Upon availability, you may find a prompt in the same menu that shows you a changelog for the update and a “Download and Install” button. The rest is self-explanatory. The patch includes fixes deployed by Google for the core Android system and Samsung’s own software, including improvements for devices like the Samsung latest A model.
There are some patches in this update for Samsung’s own One UI and Galaxy ecosystem, which make sure you get a safe connection with the Galaxy smartwatches and other wearables you have lying around. The company targets at least 19 vulnerabilities that were recently discovered in its One UI software.
None of the patches are marked as crucial or moderate safety risks by Samsung, which means no serious threats were pointed out in the last month. But still, if you run high-risk accounts, it’s always best to stay on the latest update. Sadly, there are no software optimizations or new features to speak of in the June 2026 patch.
The Galaxy A53 already scored the One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. But, it still has one more OS update left in the bank. Samsung is beta testing the One UI 8 x Android 16 on its Galaxy S25 devices as we speak. We’ll keep you in the loop about all the upcoming updates on Galaxy A53 and other devices, so stay tuned.
