Samsung Galaxy A17 and A07 Pre-Bookings Open in Pakistan; Prices Revealed

Usama Rasool

Last month, we reported that Galaxy A07 and A17 will arrive in Pakistan shortly. The plan seems to be in motion now. Samsung hasn’t deployed the stock yet, but the pre-booking may have just begun. Our inside sources have notified us of all the storage options and prices you can expect with the Galaxy A17 and Galaxy A07.

Samsung’s social media links and the official site haven’t been updated with the details yet, so consider this a preliminary look. By the time you read this news, it’s possible Samsung may have already indexed both phones on the local website and confirmed the official date for their retail deployment.

Samsung Galaxy A17

This is a 4G version of the Galaxy A17, not to be confused with its Exynos-based counterpart. The newcomer landing in our market with a Helio G99 chip and at least 6GB RAM on the cheapest option. The rest of its specs will be identical, no matter the connectivity.

We have an AMOLED 6.7” 90Hz panel on its front with a Gorilla Glass Victus shield. The resolution is 1080p, and the peak brightness hits 800 nits. That’s about what you would expect from an entry-level handset. A waterdrop notch is a bit outdated, though your eyes will get used to it in no time.

This newcomer has an IP54-rated design, proven against minor water splashes and dust ingress. The OS built into the phone is Android 15 x One UI 7, which is not the latest, but the One UI 8 update is already underway in some markets. The A17 gets you started with 6GB RAM in Pakistan.

The A17 4G has three cameras on the back, all with functional sensors. You get a 50MP OIS main shooter, 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens for closeups. The camera in the display notch is 13MP for selfies. A17’s battery size is your standard 5000mAh with a 25W wired input for backup. Now, the 6/128GB option has a reasonable Rs 54,999 price, but the price gets a bit high for the 8/256GB trim at Rs 62,999.

Samsung Galaxy A07

The Galaxy A07 finally got the performance upgrade fans have been craving. Samsung installed a Helio G99 chip on it, which is miles better than A06’s aged and worn-out Helio G85 platform. Its display also got promoted to 90Hz, so the animations will feel much smoother on its PLS 6.7” LCD.

This screen still has the same HD+ resolution, so don’t expect any changes in visual fidelity. A07 is officially rated IP54. The notch is made a bit smaller, and the bezels are also trimmed. But these changes are barely noticeable, unless you have a Galaxy A06 placed right next to it.

Predictably, the newcomer has Android 15 One UI 7 by default, but Samsung shocked everyone this year by announcing 6 years of OS support for it. For context, the last model was only promised 2 years of updates. We believe it’s owed to the new Helio G99 chip.

There’s a simple 50MP primary + 2MP depth camera combo on this phone. An 8MP selfie camera is hidden in the notch. The Galaxy A07 also has 25W charging and a 5000mAh battery. Three trims are locked in for the Pakistani market. The cheapest one you can buy is 4/64GB at Rs 27,500. It goes up to 32,999 for the 4/128GB trim and Rs 38,999 for the 6/128GB variant.
