Samsung Galaxy A17 and A07 are Coming to Pakistan in First Half of October

Samsung Galaxy A07 and A17 are en route to Pakistan, likely to drop in the first half of October. Both are entry-level devices. We can confirm that the cheaper A07 model has 4G connectivity and a Helio G99 chip. But there’s no telling if the A17 will come to Pakistan as an LTE or a 5G version.

If the pattern holds and Samsung sticks to tradition, Pakistan might see the A17 in a 4G avatar. By the way, that version hasn’t been unveiled yet. Let’s see if Samsung squeezes in the A17 4G’s global launch in the little time we have left till the phone’s local deployment. You can find the rest of its details below.

Samsung Galaxy A17

The chipset and performance details are tied to connectivity, so let’s put a pin in it until we have confirmation. The rest of its specs will be identical either way. We may see an AMOLED 6.7” 90Hz panel on its front with a Gorilla Glass Victus shield. The resolution will be 1080p, and the peak brightness will hit 800 nits.

This newcomer has an IP54-rated design, proven against minor water splashes and dust ingress. The OS built into the phone is Android 15 x One UI 7, which is not the latest, but it’s pledged to receive 6 years of OS updates. The A17 gets you started with 4GB RAM.

There are three cameras on the back, all with functional sensors. You get a 50MP OIS main shooter, 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens for closeups. The camera in the display notch is 13MP for selfies. A17’s battery size is your standard 5000mAh with a 25W wired input for backup.

Samsung Galaxy A07

Galaxy A07’s biggest upgrade this year is the performance. They installed a Helio G99 chip on it, which is miles better than A06’s aged and worn-out Helio G85 platform. Its display also got promoted to 90Hz. The animations will feel much smoother on its PLS 6.7” LCD.

This screen still has the same HD+ resolution, so don’t expect any changes in visual fidelity. A07 is officially rated IP54 for the first time. Predictably, the newcomer also has Android 15 One UI 7 by default, but Samsung shocked everyone this year by announcing 6 years of OS support for it. For context, the last model was only promised 2 years of updates.

The camera pair on the back is an ordinary 50MP (main) + 2MP (depth) combo with just an 8MP selfie camera hidden in the notched cutout. This cheaper model retains an SD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack. It doesn’t have NFC, but still uses an identical side fingerprint ID and a 5000mAh battery. The Galaxy A07 also has 25W charging. We’ll cover both these phones in detail as we get closer to launch. Keep watching the news for updates.
