Samsung Galaxy A17 Early Renders Show Camera Redesign and Familiar Display

Galaxy A17 is on its way and could launch by the end of 2025. Leakers are constantly on the lookout for details on this newcomer, and folks over at Android Headlines have unearthed Galaxy A17’s renders, giving fans an early preview. Here’s the first look at its design.

It’s a regular slab phone with flat edges and a minimal look. From the front, it seems nothing has changed over the year, and it looks exactly the same as the A16. It’s a different story when it comes to the rear design, though. Some of you will notice the camera upgrade right away.

Samsung is going for a unified enclosure for all three cameras on the New A17. Formerly, the Galaxy A16 had three individual lenses sticking out of the body, just like many generations before it. The new design on Galaxy A17 is a nice change of pace and brings the phone closer in appearance to Galaxy A26, A36, and A56.

It seems Samsung isn’t ready yet to part ways with the water drop notch. Samsung's latest budget phone maintains the ancient display style with fat bezels and a thick chin. According to some rumors, it’s the same 6.7” AMOLED with 90Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution.

The phone was sighted earlier with a benchmark listing, which cleared the air about some disappointing rumors we’ve been hearing on the internet. The A17 5G will not be reusing last year’s chip. The phone might be upgraded with an Exynos 1380 this time, per the new reports.

For the Galaxy A17 4G variant, Geekbench suggests a Helio G99 chip, 4GB RAM, and Android 15 out of the box. The software is bumped by one generation to One UI 7, but the hardware hasn’t been changed whatsoever, except for the alleged camera setup.

Galaxy A17 is the first in line with a Hybrid OIS Main camera. Its primary shooter is likely a 50MP sensor, tied with a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. The expected battery size is 5000mAh with a 25W charging speed. Most of its specs are still elusive, but we have our ears to the ground for new developments. Stay tuned, if you don’t want to miss anything.
