Despite being an entry-level phone, Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is not cheaper by any means. Brand is hard at work producing a cheaper 4G-enabled version, which should unveil soon. Speculative feature and design leaks have started popping out. The new 4G variant boasts a slightly re-engineered build.
Design renders shared by TheTechOutlook showcase A14 4G with rounded sides, chamfered backplate, and new colors. A14 5G has slightly raised and sharp edges endowing it with a semi-premium and, most importantly, a trendier design. The battery shield on A14 4G has beveled edges from left to right, top to bottom.
The face of Galaxy A14 looks identical on both variants. Their screens have intrusive drop-notch cutouts symbolic of most entry-level phones and not-so-uniform bezel waists, which is not surprising. Unlike other manufacturers, Samsung tends to keep its entry and mid-range phones distinct in looks.
A recent report from a usually reliable source, Winfuture, claims the A14 4G has a MediaTek Helio G80 engine inside. It's a 4G-enabled chip clocking at 2.0GHz frequency and integrated with a low-end Mali G52 GPU. The Samsung 4G latest model can make an easy daily driver, though it won't be as good as A14 5G's Exynos chip.
Other rumored specs on the phone include a 6.6-inch screen with Samsung's PLS panel and a 60Hz refresh rate dropped from 90Hz on A14 5G. Possible memory combos on the phone will limit the storage from 64-128GB paired with 4GB-6GB RAM. Out of the box, users will find the phone running Android 13 x OneUI 5.0.
In the province of photography, the A14 4G will hold 50MP primary unit, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro shooter. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie shooter on board. Everything draws power from a 5000mAh battery backed by 10W charging. According to reports, the phone might cost around 217$ (~PKR 57,500).
