Samsung Galaxy A13 5G Features the Faster, More Efficient Dimensity 700 Chip

The sequel to last year’s Samsung Galaxy A12 is currently in the pipeline. Like the rest of the current-gen Galaxy A family, the upcoming Galaxy A13 also gets the 5G treatment. Once it launches, the A13 5G will become the cheapest 5G phone in the Samsung catalog. The phone maker has yet to announce the phone, but it was benchmarked on Geekbench.


Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is featured on the popular cross-platform benchmark under the model number ‘SM-A136U.’ The Geekbench 5 scorecard also contains some relevant specs. We’ll recount them first.

At its heart, the Galaxy A13 5G has the Dimensity 700 — the most entry-level mobile platform from MediaTek. You get 4GB of multitasking memory. And the latest build of Android11-based OneUI runs on this hardware. 


The Galaxy A13 5G is expected to join the Samsung price list soon. the upcoming handset hits 465 points on single-core tests and reaches 1106 points when using all cores. It’s a big step up from the Galaxy A12 that manages 165 and 999 points, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G has a multi-camera system led by a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Also, everything is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. These details come from previous reports. The phone’s charging specs are still a mystery, but the Galaxy A13 might inherit the 15W power support of the Galaxy A12. Samsung might release the A13 5G before 2021 ends.
