Samsung Galaxy A07 4G Unveiled with 90Hz Screen & Six Years of OS Support

Samsung decided to move up the schedule for every smartphone release in the second half of 2025. And that’s exactly what happened with the Galaxy A17 5G. Now, the entry-level series is joined by another member called the Galaxy A07. It’s a cheaper model that just got unveiled in Indonesia. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

This is the first time an upper-class Helio G99 chip has landed on Samsung’s least expensive phone. It means a serious boost in GPU and CPU performance. Plus, the upgraded chip unlocked the potential for 6 years of OS and security support on Galaxy A07.

There are a few more things the company has enhanced on the A07. The screen, for example, now clocks at a 90Hz refresh rate instead of the bog-standard 60Hz. Those smooth visuals are helped by its HD+ 720p resolution and a PLS 6.7” display.

We had no official IP rating on the last model, but the Samsung budget new model kicks things off with the basic IP54 dust/water protection rating. Just as we hoped, the phone boots to an Android 15 system and Samsung’s One UI 7 skin. You can get as high as 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage with this newcomer.

The SD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack are still present on the A07, which is fortunate. It relies on a 5000mAh battery for power, wired to a 25W fast charging kit for refills. Among the essentials, you get a fingerprint ID on the side, dual-band Wifi, and Bluetooth 5.3.

The camera gear is borrowed from last year’s Galaxy A06. We have the same 50MP (Main)+ 2MP (depth) combo on the back. Video quality is still capped at 1080p 30FPS. The front selfie camera continues relying on the 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

We prefer the new look of its camera island with a unified lens enclosure and three all-new colors. The Indo market welcomes Green, Light Violet, and Black color options. As far as the price goes, the Galaxy A07 is still the cheapest Samsung phone in spirit, with the price falling around $86 (~PKR 24,000) for the 4/64GB trim. This price is only for Indonesia, by the way. It’s subject to change in other countries based on customs and tax practices.
