Samsung Galaxy A07s was launched today, quietly. This seems to be the same model as the standard Galaxy A07, but they knocked down the max RAM to 6GB and the storage to 128GB. The chipset is also the same, though it’s carrying a “+” sign this time. Consider the Galaxy A07s a minor refresh with the latest Android.
The older A07 debuted with Android 15 One UI 7 at the time, which wasn’t the latest. This Galaxy A07s corrects that with Android 16 One UI 8 out of the box, which will push the phone into the same league as other A#7 models in the family. Anyway, they didn’t add or remove anything from the specs.
Helio G99+ chip makes its debut on the Samsung latest A mobile. This is an upgrade from the A06’s Helio G85. But don’t expect much uplift from the standard A07’s Helio G99. The chip is definitely good enough for 6 years of OS and security support.
The screen is 90Hz, so nothing changes there. Those smooth visuals are helped by its HD+ 720p resolution and a PLS 6.7” display. There’s a notch on the screen, and the camera is an 8MP selfie shooter. The thick borders are an eyesore, just like before.
There’s a basic IP54 water and dust protection rating on the handset, which is splashproof only. Nothing’s upgraded on the power. The phone still puts a 25W charging kit on a 5000mAh battery. Since they put a 6000mAh cell on the A07 5G, this seems like a missed opportunity.
The SD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack are still present on the A07. You also get a fingerprint ID on the side, dual-band Wifi, and Bluetooth 5.3 among the essentials. The camera gear is practically identical to last year’s Galaxy A06 and the current A07.
We have the same 50MP (Main)+ 2MP (depth) sensors on the Galaxy A07s. Video quality is still 1080p (30FPS). This phone has only been seen in the Levant market so far, and the base 4/64GB variant’s MSRP there is $167 (~PKR 46,000).
