Realme is coming out with a new flagship phone soon. The model is codenamed 'Race' and it will run on the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, according to Realme’s social media. Its product renders, specs and relevant details have already leaked online.

Oppo recently decided to sell the Oppo Ace lineup under the Realme sub-brand. And since the Realme Race is a codename for the series, not the phone’s title, we won’t be surprised to see it launch as Realme Ace. Here's what we know about the phone so far.

Citing their sources, the news sites published the specifications. Based on that report, the mystery phone has Snapdragon 888 (the latest flagship chip from Qualcomm), 12GB of memory, and 256GB of storage. The 125W UltraDART charging that Realme teased a while back is gonna debut with the Realme ‘Race.’

Today, Realme executive Xu Qi Chase confirmed the processor details. Mr. Chase also announced that the phone is coming in 2021. Plus, the Android11-based RealmeUI 2.0 is gonna power this hardware.

Realme (as well as Oppo) have recently adopted a faux leather aesthetic for their premium phones. In one unofficial product mockup, we see a familiar, raised camera plate and three cameras. A 64MP primary camera highlights this array. Yellow and grey accents are painted on the textured back.

Oddly enough, the newly surfaced presents an entirely different design. Their RMX2202 ‘Race’ features a round camera bump, a matrix camera layout, chamfered edges, and a glossy shell.
