In a recent launch event, Realme introduced the Realme 7 Pro and 7 in China but the series was missing a budget edition. Titled Realme 7i, this affordable variant is slated for release on September 17— having been featured in several leaks already, it has recently popped up on the popular benchmarking website, Geekbench.
Found listed under the model number RMX2103, the Realme 7i features 8GB of memory for improved multi-tasking. The processor isn’t explicitly specified, but its ‘bengal’ codename corresponds to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662.
Introduced earlier in February this year, the SD 662 mobile platform promises ‘best-in-tier’ performance. It’s split into eight cores, running on at upto 2 GHz. The graphical number-crunching is handled by the Adreno 610 GPU — a typical choice for budget silicon.
As for the synthetic Geekbench4 benchmark, Realme 7i manages 1,516 points on its single-core test and 5,420 on multi-threading tasks. To put the numbers in context, the performance is comparable to the previous-gen Realme 5 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The leaks mentioned above give us a peek into the rest of the Realme 7i specification sheet. You’re looking at a 6.5” HD+ fluid 90Hz display with a hole punch cutout in the corner to house its front camera. It’s a corner-to-corner panel, with razor thin side and top bezels and a mid-sized chin. The back comes in a brilliant blue and deep green editions and has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner mounted on it.

The rear-camera on 7i by Realme has four lenses in its array, featuring a 64MP standard camera, a 8MP ultra-wide camera and a pair of 2MP sensors — presumably designed for B&W and macro shots.
