OPPO Reno 5 4G is Confirmed to Launch in Pakistan Soon; Better Screen, Cleaner Design, and Faster Charging

The OPPO Reno5 4G is coming to Pakistan soon. Oppo made the official announcement on social media. And the official product page is already up on Oppo Pakistan’s website. Here is what the newest Reno iteration offers.

As always, the design is front and center. Oppo hasn’t given the Reno5 a visual overhaul but tweaked and streamlined the previous Oppo Reno4 layout. A far less conspicuous solitary hole-punch replaces the intrusive pill-shaped hole. The chin is thinner, leaving more room for the screen.

You’re looking at a 6.43” full HD OLED screen, which now peaks at 750 nits of brightness instead of 430 nits. Oppo has upped the refresh rate to 90Hz to make the visual experience smoother, more responsive. A fingerprint scanner is embedded into the OLED panel. Stereo support is still missing, but the Reno5 4G retains the reliable 3.5mm headphone jack.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G is brought over from the Reno 4. But the Oppo Reno5 powers it with a slightly larger 4310 mAh battery that charges over 50W instead of 30W. Oppo New Model 2021 promises up to three hours of video playback with only 5 minutes of charging. The hardware runs on the latest ColorOS 11.1, based on Android11.

In terms of optics, the Reno5 4G gets more subtle improvements. The new 64MP sensor is larger, but it sits behind the same f/1.7 lens. For wide-angle shots, the 8MP camera gives you an extended 119° FoV. The other two cameras take macro shots and assist in depth-perception. And the front camera also has a higher-res 44MP sensor inside.

You can pick from Starry Black and Fantasy White color options. The only storage/memory configuration is 8GB+128GB. WhatMobile puts its expected starting price around Rs. 60,000 to 63,000 PKR.
