Oppo has a separate fanbase for its Reno series of smartphones, which combines an incredible set of camera features with a sleek and trendy design. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is going to continue this series’ legacy after its upcoming US launch, as it has recently acquired the FCC certification.

The certification reveals CPH2357 as the OPPO Reno 8 Pro’s model number. It also confirms the handset’s slim and featherweight form factor with a 183g weight and 61.2 x 74.2 x 7.34mm dimensions. A 4,500 mAh battery cell will power the device with support for 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Moreover, the device will operate on Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12.1 out of the box.

The FCC listing further unveils the Reno 8 Pro will support n77 and n78 5G NR bands, but they will be unavailable to the US markets due to software limitations. It will also support 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth.

We can also report the remaining specifications as the global Reno 8 Pro will be a repacked version of the Chinese Reno 8 Pro Plus. It features a triple rear camera layout where the 50 MP Sony IMX766 primary lens is the center of attention at a flagship Oppo mobile price. The other two include an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro shooter. A 32 MP Sony IMX709 front camera sensor, housed in a centered punch-hole, will be used for selfies.

Flipping the handset reveals its gorgeous 6.7’’ Full HD+ AMOLED HDR10+ panel refreshing at 120 Hz and having an in-display fingerprint scanner. A Mediatek Dimensity 8100 Max SoC with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU lies beneath the Reno 8 Pro, working alongside the MariSilicon X NPU for advanced image processing. It will feature up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM paired with a maximum of 256 GB UFS 2.1 storage.

The OPPO Reno 8 Pro will hit the Indian market first, before making its way to the other countries of Asia. The official pricing information is still vague; however, the handset will be available in silver, black, and mint color variants.
