OPPO Reno 7A Goes Official with Snapdragon 695 SoC and 90Hz AMOLED Display

The BBK-owned tech giant, OPPO, has recently unveiled the OPPO Reno 7A for the Japanese market. The Reno 5A’s successor packs a plethora of exciting features, so here’s a quick look at all its specifications and features.


The OPPO Reno 7A is built around a 6.4" FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a snappy fingerprint reader underneath and a punch-hole cutout in the upper-left corner for the 16MP selfie snapper. The screen flaunts 409 PPI pixel density,  a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and boasts an impressive 89.4% screen-to-body ratio.

Moving on to the rear side of things, the phone features a smooth matte finish and a rectangular camera module that houses its triple camera setup. The primary shooter is kept at 48 MP with a wide f/1.8 aperture for better night photography. The other sensors include 2 MP depth and 2 MP macro lenses. The device runs on Android 11 with Oppo’s ColorOS 12 skin on top.


Powering the handset is the Snapdragon 695 SoC, armed with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of swift UFS 2.1 storage. This internal storage is further expandable via a MicroSD card slot. Some additional benefits of the OPPO Reno 7A include a feather-weight design having slim 159.7 x 73.4 x 76.0 mm dimensions and weighing in at a mere 175g. The device is also IP68 water and dust-resistant.

Fueling the entire package is a 4500mAh rated battery that draws power through a USB-C port at up to 18W. The Reno 7A is available in the Japanese market at a Samsung price tag of 44,800 Yen (~ or PKR 68,000). The handset comes in two color options; Starry Black and Dreamy Blue.
