With the Oppo F19 Pro already out, it was only a matter of time before the previous-gen F17 received a price cut. Yesterday, Oppo Pakistan officially announced this new discount for the Oppo F17. The sleek F17 offers a faux leather design and smooth performance to boot.

Oppo F17 had been retailing for Rs. 39,999 but after a Ramadan discount of Rs. 2000, it’s now available for Rs. 37,999 only. You can pick from the lively Dynamic Orange and the muted Navy Blue shades.

At 7.45mm of depth and 163g of weight, the F17 has one of the most lightweight builds you’ll find in Oppo’s catalog. The frame has a flat, squared-off character to it, finished in bronze. Three buttons, one for power and two for rocking volume, are mounted on either side.

No change was observed in the price of Oppo F17 Pro. Flip the handset over to meet its leather-textured back. It’s clean, save for the Oppo branding and the camera island. The camera plate, also bound in a bronze accent, houses four lenses in a matrix layout.

A notch melts into the phone’s screen that is a 6.44” OLED panel. It delivers a full HD resolution, filling a 20:9 aspect and a 90.7% display-to-body ratio. F17 also has an in-display fingerprint scanner hidden underneath the screen at an affordable Oppo mobile price.

For optics, the F17 features a 16MP wide lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and two 2MP monochrome sensors. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor behind it. Its camera app supports several filters and shooting modes, even for low-light, all powered by AI.

The mobile platform at the phone’s heart is the entry-level Snapdragon 662. It’s hooked up to a 4015 mAh battery that charges over 30W Flash VOOC technology. Oppo F17 promises a full top-up in just under an hour. You get 8GB of memory for multitasking and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The build also includes the slot for storage expansion, a 3.5mm headphone jack but boots to Android10 out of the box.
