Oppo A7 Pro is purely a midrange phone. And its specialty is an 8000mAh battery. Some of its details were seen on the official retail site today. They gave up the phone’s colors and storage options in China. This newcomer will launch on September 11.

Some details are missing. But the highlight images had most of the specs for it. We found that the Oppo A7 Pro has 6GB base RAM. There’s also 256GB of storage. The RAM can be upgraded to 8GB. There are three color options for it. Riding the Waves is the hero color.

Then there are the Desert Brown and Blossom Pink shades. The Oppo new A mobile does carry an OLED. Thick bezels around it make it look like an IPS LCD, though. We do have a 120Hz refresh rate on the panel. It could be a FHD+ OLED. The phone’s not exactly advertised for performance or the screen.

Oppo A7 Pro is all about the battery and durability. It actually passed all the tests for an IP69K rating. That’s a safety rating for boiling high-pressure water jets and immersion. This is the best you can get out of a modern phone right now. 8000mAh cell with a long shelf life is another great feature on the Pro.

The original Oppo A7 Pro Max with a 10,000mAh battery was rated for 7 years of battery life above 80% health. And it had 1500 cycles. Oppo A7 Pro is also rated for 7 years. But they didn’t say anything about the exact cycle count. They should have the same cycle count.

This phone also has a drop safety rating. Its system is based on Android 16 Color OS 16. There are a bunch of AI features for fraud protection. AI Scam Call warnings and AI cross-app scam recognition are the built-in safety tools here.

China launch is due at 10 AM on September 11. That’s just days away. There’s a chance that it will also debut in the global market soon. The base Oppo A7 Pro 6GB RAM option will possibly cost under $300. Keep watching the news for more updates.
