We heard news that Oppo may be working on a 10,000mAh phone. Later, that phone was touted to be the Oppo A7 Pro Max. The same device might have been tested on Geekbench today under the model number PYC110. This is everything we learned from the benchmark.
The rumor mill says it’s the Oppo A7 Pro Max. But the jury is still out. There’s no way to definitively prove that PYC110 is actually the A7 Pro Max. Though Thetechoutlooks claims so in their exclusive report. That’s why we are also extending it the benefit of the doubt.
Anyway, the phone is supposed to bench 976 on single core. The CPU’s multicore test will output an average of 2250 points, which is not too shabby. Now, this is the interesting part. Apparently, these numbers are coming from the Snapdragon 4 series chip.
It seems the latest Oppo A model is built around a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC. Actually, the chipset’s serial is right in the CPU section of the Geekbench scorecard, and a quick hit on Google revealed exactly what SoC it is. Two of its cores are 2.4GHz, and the other six are 2.02GHz.
The A7 Pro Max version they tested on Geekbench has 12GB RAM, which we believe is the pricier trim. The newcomer’s motherboard ID is “malbar.” And we found out that the chip has an Adreno 629 iGPU, which is just one number shy of the Snapdragon 845’s Adreno 630. Maybe it has the same level of performance.
By the way, Oppo A7 Pro Max was tipped with most of its key specs in a leak by Digital Chat Station, and we found that its battery is 10,000mAh. It’s the very first 10k battery from Oppo. They’ll wire that battery to an 80W fast charging kit, probably the SuperVOOC standard input.
And the device itself is built around a 6.78” flat OLED that has a 120Hz refresh rate and possibly 1.5K resolution that’s very common on Chinese phones. There’s also a 50MP selfie camera. Then comes the single 50MP main camera on the back. The battery will push the frame’s thickness to 8.47mm. Keep watching the news for more updates.
