Oppo A6 is the new vanilla addition to the A6 series in Pakistan. This is the alternative you should pick if you want Oppo A6 Pro’s battery and durability but on a tighter budget. They did cut some corners to make it cheaper, though. Here’s everything you need to know about the Oppo A6 if you wish to buy one.
The design here looks almost similar to the A6 Pro. But the basic A6 doesn’t have as premium a screen. They used a 6.75” HD+ IPS LCD on this phone with thicker, uneven borders and a 1225 nits peak brightness. Only 85% of DCI-P3’s color gamut range is covered by this display. It does have a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes the visuals fluid.
The camera setup on the back is an ordinary 50MP primary unit and a 2MP monochrome duo. But Color OS 15 makes this exciting with a set of AI features borrowed from the Reno series. AI Perfect Shot and AI Portrait Retouching are two of them. There’s a dedicated Night mode as well.
This newcomer can also take advantage of underwater photography optimizations. It’s IP69 certified after all. The list of helpful AI features doesn’t end there. AI GameBoost 2.0 and AI LinkBoost 3.0 are also bundled with Oppo's new A model’s default Android 15 system.
The battery on this phone is anything but average. They’ve been teasing the phone as a two-day runner with a single charge. That’s believable, as the A6 carries a 7000mAh battery. Be warned, though: this power pack led to an 8.6mm thickness on the Oppo A6 (vs 7.99mm on A6 Pro). The charging is 45W SuperVOOC.
This huge battery is also juicing up the phone’s SoC. There’s apparently a Snapdragon 685 running on the A6. This chip isn’t exactly known for high-end performance, but still, Oppo has installed a 3900mm² SuperCool VC System on it. Perhaps the added cooling will bring more performance out of this chip.
There’s an 8MP selfie camera here, and one of its weaker components is Bluetooth version 5.0. Oppo A6 does offer dual stereo speakers. The sound will be loud on this handset. This newcomer is essentially an entry-level device with a premium battery, and it’s priced as such. Two Oppo A6 variants have arrived in the local market. The starter 8/128GB trim retails at Rs 54,999. Upgrading it to 8/256GB will cost Rs 59,999 in Pakistan. Both options go on Pre-order today.
