These two phones are one and the same. But their chipsets are different. The Oppo A6s 4G is obviously the cheaper sibling here. Then there’s the Oppo A6s 5G, which performs better with a far better chip and faster storage backing it up. These are the details you must know about the A6s duo.

There’s no premium screen for either device here. They are both built around a 720p panel that has a 120Hz refresh rate. Even though the A6s phones have 6.75” IPS LCDs, they get plenty bright with 1125 nits lab-tested HBM brightness, which is way higher than average LCDs.
The bottom chin is the exception, but the IPS display has really thin borders on the A6s. And there’s a tiny punch hole where the 16MP selfie snapper hides. The back camera seems to have two lenses, but neither the 4G nor the 5G has a functional secondary camera.

Oppo slapped a 50MP rear Main shooter on both these newcomers. They tied it with a 2MP monochrome lens for assistance. Oppo A6s, which has 5G support and a label, is actually running a Dimensity 6300 chip. That means it also has a faster UFS 2.2 storage with its three options: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB. There’s only a Snapdragon 685 SoC on the LTE Oppo A6s version. This chipset should’ve retired long ago, but the companies have been dragging it along for years now. Its performance will feel much slower on the A6s 4G next to the A6s 5G. At least they came out with the same battery and charging.

You’ll see a 7000mAh cell on both phones, which is easily a two-day lasting capacity. That battery plugs into an 80W charging kit. That should take the cell from 0 to 100% in 64 minutes (advertised). There is one downside to this huge power pack.
These phones are quite thick at 8.61mm. The design has been tested for an IP69 rating on either handset. Both A6s 5G and 4G pack Android 15 Color OS 15 by default, not the latest Android 16. That 4G version has separate 8/128GB or 8/256GB options. Neither version has revealed its price tag as of yet.
