Infinix is jacking up the prices of two models, Hot 9 Play and Hot 10, in Pakistan. Hot 9 Play came out earlier this year and its successor, Hot 10, launched in September. The duo falls in the ultra-budget range, featuring giant screens and batteries.

Infinix Hot 10

The Hot 10 is available in three memory and storage variants — 64GB+4GB is the one that got the increase. It had a starting price of Rs. 19,999, and it's now retailing for Rs. 20,999. MediaTek Helio G70, which debuted last year, powers the phone. The battery is 5200 mAh but lacks any support for fast charging.

The screen is an oversized 6.78" LCD with a hole punch cutout and a standard HD+ resolution. For Rs. 20,499, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 offers a Full HD+ screen, Helio G80, and 18W fast charging. Hot 10 has slimmer bezels but the plastic back features a generic glossy aesthetic.

Hot 10's camera plate is designed to resemble higher-end phones, but it only has one 13MP primary camera - - the other three are either 2MP sensors or VGA. Drawing another comparison with the Redmi 9, Xiaomi's phone has an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro shooter.

Infinix Hot 9 Play

The Hot 9 Play 2GB Edition also got Rs. 1000 more expensive now, priced at Rs. 15,999 - - upped from Rs. 14,999. 2GB of memory and 32GB of expandable storage (the only configuration it comes in Pakistan) round off its Helio A25 processor. The phone has a similar plastic build but with a notch instead of a hole.

The 6000 mAh battery capacity is bigger, as is the 6.82" HD+ screen. The rear camera is 13MP, and the one on the front is 8MP. You can lock the phone with either the fingerprint reader on the back or with 2D face unlocking.
