The Z Fold series launch is getting closer by the day, and just as we make it to the final stretch, a leak has given up almost all specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra. The same source leaked a couple of high-fidelity renders a few weeks back, and the report today is basically a follow-up to that leak.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8
Some details we already knew, but some are fresh from WinFuture in Germany, including the potential price tags for each model. Galaxy Z Fold 8 is presumed to be the wider model of the two, so it’s basically a challenger to the iPhone Ultra. They share the same wide form factor.

Said Galaxy Z Fold 8 is built around a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. There’s a 12GB RAM base with 256GB or 512GB storage, and then we have the 16/1TB trim. Two screens are present on this handset, obviously. The main internal one is a 120Hz 7.6” folding AMOLED, and its aspect ratio is a perfect 4:3 (2448x1848p).

Then we have the outer smaller screen that seems to be a 5.5” AMOLED at 120Hz, which pushes 1248x1972 pixels or 2K resolution. And yes, the magic hinge they’ve been working on will end up on the Z Fold 8 and make the crease almost invisible.

They’ve fitted just a 50MP main camera on the smaller non-Ultra model, and it sits next to a 50MP ultrawide. There’s no third camera on the back, but there are two selfie sensors of 10MP f/2.2 size each. IP48 rating is being predicted with the wide Z Fold 8.
There’s potentially 45W charging here and a 4800mAh cell for backup with 1200 cycles till it hits 80% health. Apparently, this sibling is 4.5mm thin, and the weight is just 201 grams. €1,999 (~PKR 634,000) seems to be the possible price tag for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in Europe.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is actually the one replacing the older Z Fold 7, so it has that same tall, square aspect ratio. The screen they’ll use on the inside has a 2256x2504p resolution. And the outer screen is 6.5” 1080x2520p. Each panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, of course.

They’ll put three cameras on the Ultra, and among them sits the main 200MP sensor, which is absent on the wide version. OIS and an f/1.7 aperture are a possibility on the main camera. And then we have the 50MP ultrawide, and there’s also a 10MP 3X optical telephoto in the neighborhood.

By the way, it also has two selfies, and both are 10MP sensors. The RAM and storage assortments are the same on each model, and so is the chipset. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 does the heavy lifting here, but this device will obviously have more room for battery.

It would seem they’ve finally decided to let go of the 4400mAh cell. The Z Fold 8 Ultra is being promoted to a 5000mAh battery, even though the body has gotten thinner. The frame is now 4.1mm in profile and only 218 grams.
Of course, the Ultra also has 1200 cycles (up to 80% health), and there’s 45W Super Fast Charging. This will cost more, though. Apparently, the base MSRP for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is €2,199 in Europe, which is almost PKR 697,000 when translated.
