Samsung has indirectly confirmed the Charging speed upgrade for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. You’ve surely heard rumors that Samsung will drop the ancient 45W input and use a faster 60W charging kit inside the Ultra next year. Well, those reports are bearing fruit. Samsung just launched an official 60W charger, right when the S26 Ultra is about to arrive.
This is not a coincidence. It’s a planned move, and Samsung is obviously laying the groundwork for a faster 60W input for the S26 Ultra. They didn’t exactly say it’s for the Ultra device, but the official listing did say it will recharge phones, tablets, and laptops.
Well, there’s not a single Galaxy phone or tablet that supports anything above 45W. There are GalaxyBooks, though, that plug into a 65W adapter. Charging laptops through a smartphone charger is a big deal. But it’s a completely different conversation. Let’s just stick to the Galaxy S26 Ultra upgrade.
The model number for this new black 60W charger is EP-T6010NBEGWW. You can’t hit the purchase button on Samsung’s website yet, but it’s up for retail in some other stores. The price of this adapter will be 53 Euro (~PKR 17,000), sold separately, of course, rather than being shipped with the Samsung new Ultra mobile.
It’s a power delivery charger, so it has a Type-C port at the top. There’s Super Fast Charging 2.0 support here. The standby power draw of this charger is just 5mW when nothing’s plugged in. Of course, we also see new voltage readings on it: USB-PD (5V, 15V, 20V) 3A.
There are some safety features baked into it. The 60W charger has its own thermal protection system. Overcurrent and short circuit safety are also available here. Apparently, this new adapter is also designed for low-electrical-noise operation.
They are putting the 45W charging behind. 60W input is now almost guaranteed for the S26 Ultra. There’s some more good news. Samsung just got a 25W wireless charger certified. We hear this wireless charger has Qi2 and magnets. This may be a sign of wireless 25W charging coming to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
